The story

I purchased some sp2200 from overclockers last december within 1 week of purchase the speakers started to fail with a certain crackling issue in the left satellite speaker overclockers replaced these for me.

Though several months on the same issue started to happen to the replacement speakers and I have had to rma them with corsair.

Now these speakers are still under warranty but corsair tell me I can't have a replacement of the same speaker because they are an obsolete/discontinued product!! funny that when there still on sale in a few places.

They have the cheek to send me this message.

Why should I have to pay another $50 to receive a replacement when the 1st product I purchased didn't work and I only wanted to pay little for them in the 1st place..

@ PapaLazaru

I know there not offering me the same speakers m8 that's not the point, the point is they couldn't fulfill a warranty request for an item which was still inside the warranty period. Probably because so many have been sent back with the same issue.

@ AtaRo

They were £38 when purchased which was the reason why I purchased them.

I have offered them $25 for the upgrade I don't care how much there worth, the point is they haven't fulfilled a warranty request under warranty deadline so it's their fault not mine so I shouldn't have to pay for the upgrade but I don't mind paying $25.

Looks like I will have to pay $50 for the upgrade because the joke of a reply I got from them this afternoon well ermm.

Corsair

Why would someone who purchased speakers want a gaming headset as a replacement

Overclockers would have dealt with it m8 either with replacing them or refunding.

I have just got off the phone with corsair and paid the $50 for the upgrade.

I've been really happy with mine, best set of PC speakers I have ever heard.

I was worried about the speaker cable that was originally being sent out with these but when I opened the box I received the 3mtr extensions.

I've had a lot of speakers in my time and these are probably the best built and sounding PC speakers I have had and for a total cost of £70, £38 for the sp2200's and £32 for these what more could you ask for.
