Okay I have the 1GB asus GTX 460.

Have had it for 2 months now absolutely no problems.

Now just about 10 minutes ago I was playing a game of L4D2 and it spazzed out. And I had to reboot, on reboot it continuously kept getting little green squares appear all over my screen then go black then come back every 10 seconds. A pop-up would appear in the task bar saying something along the lines of, the Graphics driver failed and recovered. Then after about 10 times it just completely crashed and rebooted. I tried to open HWMonitor to look at GPU temps but couldn't before it rebooted.

I went into safemode, opened HWMonitor and it only showed the HDD temp.

I then rebooted once more and now everythings fine, ran FurMark and as soon as it started, little green squares for about half a second then it went fine and smooth and I ran it only for 5 minutes (but it's on stock clocks it should be stable) and no more squares. I haven't had any since.

Do I have the right to be concerned or was it the GPU having a bad day.

Idle my GPU is at 35C and reached 59C in Furmark.

Thanks.

That doesn't sound good...

This can also happen if your RAM is dodgy or the North Bridge is failing/overheating so check those too.

How can you test RAM?

And in HWMonitor which temp is the North Bridge temp?

In HWMonitor I get these 3 which I'm not sure what they are.
This is idle temps btw:

SYSTIN: 44C
CPUTIN: 45C
AUXTIN: fluctuating between 54-64C

All my cores are between 45-47C at idle

Here's my specs.

and a Zalman Cooler. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-044-ZA&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=
And obviously the GPU I said.

Try dropping back to 258.96 driver... but its deff. looking like either VRAM or System RAM failure at this point, you can test System RAM with memtest86 and GPU VRAM with the OCCT GPU test (tho its not the most reliable test).

Okay started running OCCT GPU Memory Test and got 64 errors on pass 3 and its making the pc go crazy again :(

Looks like my VRAM is dying.

RMA jobby?

More confused than ever now!

1. I ran driver sweeper and got rid of all my drivers
2. Rebooted and DL + Install latest drivers
3. Rebooted, straight away I got the error "Failed and recovered" I then run OCCT GPU Memtest and get 0 errors!!!! and nothing strange now, I will talk again tomorrow. Strange happenings going on here.
