Looking at braiding my water pump 3 pin cable to match the rest of the system and was wondering whats the closest braid that matches the BitFenix cables?

I remember braiding something ages ago and although the braid was black, you could still see through the braid slightly. I don't want this :p

Don't link me obviously, just a name of the braid and I'll find it myself :)

I am currently trying to braid cables like bitfenix too and i have tried two methods with paracord

1) cutting the paracord and then slightly melting the ends around the connector and putting it back into the connector - this didnt really work for me as the melted plastic stopped the connector going back in and it was generally a nightmare

2) so i looked how bitfenix braid their own cables and they have the wire, the paracord, and then pin/connector crimped onto around the paracord, i will be trying this method too, but cant comment on it just yet. The process will be to remove the pin from the connector, snip off the connector, put the paracord over the wire, strip the end of the wire and then crimp it all together with the connector :)

The reason for all this melting and crimping is that the bitfenix cables dont use heatshrink which is the same look i want to go for :)

(i assume i am allowed to say paracord as it isnt a brand or competitor or anything :) )

I could have sworn the BitFenix cables used heat shrink?

In all this time of owning the PCIe cables and a 8 pin motherboard one I've never noticed that haha
