For a long time, the power supply is one part of the PC that users prefer to remain unseen. These dull, lifeless boxes were made to perform in the background, away from sight. Challenging the status quo, BitFenix set out to make a power supply that not only delivered on a performance level, but also utilized enough design elements to let it stand out in a system build. To that end, BitFenix announces the Fury Power Supply Series. Featuring top quality components like all Japanese capacitors, a killer design aesthetic, and top-notch efficiency, Fury is set to become the new gold standard in semi-modular power supply units.

Starting with the chassis, Fury brings a bold yet sophisticated design to the realm of power supplies. Both top and bottom are adorned with a stamped BitFenix logo, along with a custom aluminum ring accent that exudes an aggressive look no matter which direction you install it. Combined with a quality matte powder-coat finish, Fury is the first PC power supply that's designed to enhance the look of your system.

After taking the modding world by storm with the Alchemy lineup of sleeved cable extensions, BitFenix has brought its one of a kind Nanosleeve braiding to the Fury Power Supply. Each cable that comes with Fury is sleeved with Nanosleeve braiding for excellent flexibility and unsurpassed aesthetics. With Fury, modders will spare their warranties while saving hours of time sleeving their own PSU cables. Best of all, the semi-modular design allows builders to only use the cables they need, reducing cable clutter and improving airflow inside the system. For the boutique modded look with zero effort, look no further than BitFenix Fury.

All of this power is harnessed via several key components and technologies that make Fury a power supply users can rely on day in and day out. To ensure clean output and long life, Fury employs a design that utilizes all Japanese capacitors. Renowned for their quality and longevity, all Japanese capacitors puts Fury in a class above other PSU designs. A 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan not only helps keep temperatures under control, but does so with minimal noise. Finally, Fury also comes equipped with BitShield Six-Point Protection, a series of safeguards that prevent damage to the PC caused by electrical anomalies, including under voltage, over voltage, short circuit and more. All of this is backed by a five-year warranty so users can use Fury with confidence.
Available in 550W, 650W, and 750W models, BitFenix Fury delivers a trifecta of performance, reliability and aesthetics perfect for today's high octane PC builds.

May be, but even considering that, the price seem a tad high comparing to say...Seasonic etc. £100 for a 550W does seem a little crazy, even if it is high-end and modular...

Alchemy cables, Alchemy cables, Alchemy cables.

An option which is £65 from Corsair, this is why they are higher priced.

That's the thing though, the individually sleeved cables should be a option and not forced on the buyer bumping up the price. Most people won't want them and will go for a far cheaper psu. If the case has no windows who cares anyway? Hell, the only cables you can see in mine are the 8 pin, 24 pin and pci-e cables and even then only a couple of inches of them. I am more than happy with the flat black cables on my Seasonic and knowing i got a bigger capacity psu from a better OEM for less money than the Bitfenix 550w.

Were not making you buy them. Have you seen our PSU range it's huge, in your case buy one of the other less costly options that don't come with Alchemy braided cables.

Bit harsh Gibbo. I think the point everyone is edging towards, is that they (the customers) are more than happy to buy BitFenix's newly launched PSU products! If they didn't include the Alchemy braided cables as standard due to the premium in price it adds, myself included.

BF could've made the braided cables extras, or if they wanted to keep the braided cables standard, to release these maybe in their 2nd series of PSUs once they break into the market with something fantastic. Which would've been this first launch if they didn't come with such a premium.

I'm sure these will sell, but they could've made a better entry first with a lower price tag (i.e. no Alchemy braided cables to begin with)..

EDIT -
Not sure if it's just me, but the graphic text on the PSU side sticker look a little tacky and misaligned as, unless that was the aim (I hope not)?

BitFenix wanted a USP this is it.
Do I agree with it? No but BitFenix want a way to enter the Market that gives them a USP, so far it seems to be working, its causing plenty of banter. ;)

In my view BitFenix should be offering PSU's like this but with basic all black cables and connectors for a reduced price along with also a Bronze versions as well to hit aggressive price points. Maybe they will listen or maybe they won't, time will tell. :)

Right now for people who want a decent PSU with alchemy braided cables included this is good value.

Right now for those who want a good quality Gold PSU for a less price with normal cables there are many other great brands, Corsair, Superflower etc.

I did. I got a better more powerful unit for less money when you had the Seasonic G750w at £99.99.

This would be exactly my purchase, I am not interested in cables,i just want about the best quality PSU I can get so I'd only buy Seasonic or Superflower and I've got a Superflower as I love the bling from the White LEDs :D
