i have just received the merc alpha. and where the stand-offs go. the metal is raised? does this mean stand offs are not needed?

Yep you don't need the stands off if the metal is raised like that

Hi guys, sorry for the bump.

Do you have electrical noise when using the front panel audio connectors? I do, and bitfenix say that is normal because the cables are unshielded blablabla (basically crap excuses).

Will take a look and check if I can replace that cable...

all cases have that as it is exaclty what bitfenix say. poorly insulated front panel wires. plug it in the back of the motherboard

No way, I used the front panel without issues in my old cm690.

Different Company different quality wires.
