I've just finished my Bitfenix Phenom build. Although nothing particularly special, as the case is so new I thought I'd share what I've found with all of you.

Initially I was planning on watercooling, but once the case arrived I realised that was silly. I was looking at water for the quietness, and as such I had planned on using 60mm thick rads with low FPI. As it turns out, there's simply not enough room inside the case for rads anywhere near this big.

So, I had a change of plan and went down the air cooling route, with the final specs being:

Asus Maximus VI Gene,
Intel 4770k @ 4Ghz.
Be-Quiet Dark Rock Pro 2 (keeps the CPU under 60 degrees with very little noise),
16Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866 Pro,
Enermax Revolution 87+ 650w,
Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb,
WD Blue 500Gb 2.5" Drive,
Asus 7970 Direct CU II.

Case gripes:
The 90 Degree PSU pass through is a right PITA to install - it may be only with Enermax PSU's, but due to the proximity of the cable to the case you have to bend it right back and put quite a lot of strain on the PSU power port. No ideal.

And finally, a few pictures:

The pictures seem to suggest a good build quality on the case itself, is it as good as it appears?

Yes build quality is excellent, especially considering the price!

Just ran Prime95 and Furmark for an hour, here are the max temps I got:

GPU: 85
CPU: 67
Motherboard: 57

Not bad considering it's all air cooled..

I'm looking at starting a build with the Phenom mATX case, have you ran in to any serious heat issue's? my main concern is with the PSU exhaust and the main intake (on the bottom) recirculation... is this a problem or should I not worry?

Sorry, ignore my last post; the case exhausts via the bottom and the rear, intake is at the top of the unit.

I wouldn't run it like that if I were you - I have my intake on the bottom and exhaust at the top, that way you're not fighting the natural convection of the heat (to rise).

I've not had any problems running it like that :)

Damn that CPU cooler looks so sexy!!

Personally, I would run the top fans as intake and bottom as exhaust, to avoid the gpu and top fans fighting for air. But could be run both ways I guess.

But wow, still drooling over that CPU cooler... :///
