I've been tempted to downsize my rig for a while now and seeing the Prodigy console build in the projects forum has tempted me even more :p. So basically I was wondering what the best value Mini-ITX case was. The Prodigy seems a good bet but the Cooler Master Elite 120 seems to get good reviews too and is quite a bit cheaper. It will be a modest rig with a single HDD + SSD and a mid range GPU like like something from the HD7700/7800 range so it should squeeze in okay into both cases.

Thanks :).

the prodigy is good for modding and monster spec (relatively speaking) rigs compared to the cm elite 120
and its also waaay bigger than the elite 120

if you're just gonna build and forget about it and tuck the rig out of sight somewhere, the elite 120 would probably fit the bill (though i dont know what cpu cooler you can use with that case besides the stock cooler)

Yeah the cooler part is what worries me. Think I'll go for the Prodigy as stock coolers are horrible :p. Thanks.

i used the stock cooler on my prodigy for 2 weeks till my h80 came along. i have to say its not actually that noisy if you dont overclock the cpu (or just a very mild overclock)

Can I ask any of you guy`s if a intel Sandybridge stock cooler fits on the Elite 120 case? I heard this case only has 65mm clearance to the bottom of the psu. Kind regards.
