Launching today, we have the brand new Formula PSU range from Bitfenix. Following on from the success of the Whisper M, Bitfenix have introduced the Formula series as a more cost effective option, without compromising on quality. The Formula comes in 4 wattages from 450W - 750W, with pre-wired cabling. They are produced by CWT, same as the Whisper M, and have very similar technical features. For a start, a quiet 120mm FDB fan is supplied as standard, that is capable of 500RPM operation, along with a custom fan grill design for low resistance. This means that at around 60% load, the Formula only produces 18dB(A). The technology inside will please the PSU purists, with Active PFC and LLC resonance conversion on the primary range, along with DC-DC down conversion on the secondary. Indeed, the Formula actually has a custom PCB design, rather than relying on a manufacturers existing design. Capacitor use is Japanese 105 degree electrolytic & polymer solid throughout.

The full suite of protections (OPP, OTP, OVP, UVP, SCP, OCP, SIP & NLO) prove even further how impressive the Formula series are for the money. Added to that, the Formula series comes with a 5 year warranty as standard, along with comprehensive connector support throughout the range.
