BitFenix Spectre PWM 120mm led Fan

hi all , just bought 4 of the above fans for my lads pc build and i know this may sound a dumb question but where do i plug the small 2 pin plug that powers the led,s

On to one of the Fan headers on the motherboard, they may be labeled FAN_1,FAN_2 etc?

You do not plug that into the motherboard. That will short the fan and burn the wires.

It is already pre-plugged and looped so that when you power the fan LED's will turn on. Take it off, LED's turn off.

well to me it looks like it needs plugging in and theres even an included extension for it

The 3 pin is the SYS_FAN plug
The 2 pin should loop back onto another connector pretty much next to it unless you have a Bit Fenix case (I think as you can then control the LED's).
I installed 2x 140mm yesterday and they were already 'looped', yours may be disconnected.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I've not looked or anything) but the extension is for use with Bitfenix's Hydra pro fan controller which includes a switch with which you can control all the Spectre LEDs in your system.

Do not plug the 2 pin lead into the motherboard. It is only to turn the LEDs on or off.

thx for all the help guys, plugged them in last night and they work fine , there is a little jumper over the 2 pins if u take it off the led,s go out
