[BitFenix] Support and Discussion Thread!

I'm sorry, but you've put the date back again for the XL... I like the case and all, but as someone who really quite likes one, I think it's a bit :S that you guys released the 'hype' for it as such in January, and you're telling us it's well over a month wait....

Could you at least give us a reason as to why this might be put back?

Id also be interested in hearing why it's been delayed. This is the case that ive decided to go for.

In January, we expected release date was March 2012, not early, or later...
As the date came close, we're narrowing it down to 1st or 2nd week of march.

Sad to see it delayed, but would love to get my hands on one nonetheless. No great rush for me though, even though I wouldn't say no to a new case I'd only be upgrading if I suddenly came into some dosh (highly unlikely).

Thanks for letting the community know xbournex

Yeah, we were kind of expecting beginning of February, but guess that maybe this is just a communication issue, if a bit of a bummer :( No problem though, mistakes happen :)

I personally would rather get the prodigy :p that little thing looks awesome :S is there gonna be a model with a side window and different colours?

Prodigy i'm looking at an ETA of early to mid May. It may or may not be a bit later, depending if we decide to do something crazy last minute..
On the flip side, it may be a bit earlier.

Something crazy... o.O you can't taunt us like that and not give us more clues!

Edit: Also, side point, any chance you can stop stamping "MADE IN CHINA" in massive letters across the back of the cases?

Edit 2: Any chance you know the height difference between the bottom of the 7th PCI bracket and the internal bottom of the case?

I think I've done that in the past... Read this page and the next 2-3

It's blocked and hidden by the PSU's in most cases.

2 PCI slots + a PSU :p
Er... I don't have a Shinobi XL with me. I've got 13 of them en route to my house, so I'm sure I could slap a ruler on for you :D

Ooh, looks interesting, mATX would be quite cool though as a side point :) It would mean you could put something like a Gene-Z plus watercooling in. Figure it would make a much more powerful LAN rig or the such like and you could still put the mounts for itx? Although would that result in the case having a larger area (can imagine it would...

Oh, yeah, so it is... Any reason this isn't the case on the XL? Just seems like a bit of a shame :(

Hmm, thought looking at the picture there might be a cm or so extra... Have an idea in my head for a Mod, but am not sure how well it would work at the moment without said measurements... The extra half a cm would be amazing, as PCI bracket is about 20mm and PSU is about 85mm. Also, do you know if PSU is on anti vibration mounts, as I'd imagine that'd be an extra half cm below a PSU to the bottom of the case...

The 13 are actually for the Canadian media that I have to ship to.
A couple for Canadian end user reviews, and maybe 1 or 2 if I decide to go to a LAN party. Either way, I'm still trying to figure out where I should put 13 cases in my house...

Attic sounds like a good plan, or stack them on their sides... I'd imagine you could probably get it 13 high before it hits the ceiling.... Thinking about it though, maybe it'd be worth stacking 6 or 7....

Or y'know, I'm sure a few of the members here would happily keep them in storage for you *cough cough*
