I have more or less sorted out the components for my new build and just need some final advice on all the extra items I may need. (By extra items I mean cables, ties etc and those items that do not come with OEM)

I am using a mATX mobo in an Antec SLK3000B Midi Tower Case.
The AMD Athlon 64 3500+ is OEM
The HDD is OEM,
The CD/DVD is Retail

In particular I am confused by:
A variety of SATAII cables available all at different lengths some with rt angle connectors etc
I notice OC supply various cable kits Which to go for ?
Anti static wrist band?
etc etc....

Any clarity on these issues would be appreciated

Thanks

Mike

Is the motherboard retail? If so then it will come with all the SATA/IDE cables that you need.

The CPU is OEM so you will need an aftermarket cooler, maybe look at the Arctic Freezer 64 as it offers good performance at a reasonable price.

Lastly I wouldn't bother with an anti-static wristband, just remember to touch something that is earthed every so often like a radiator and you should be fine. I've built upwards of 20 PCs now, never been near a wrist-strap and to the best of my knowledge they all still work. :)
