Hi,

After my recent memory issue whereby two of my memory 1gb ballistix memory sticks suddenly died, I've been doing some rummaging around.

I've got a Corsair 620w psu. On everest I get the following readings:

+5v = 4.89V
+12v = 1.92V (varies from around 1.79 to 3.39)
+5v Standby = 5.05V

Surely the +12v should be nearer 12v? I get a similar reading for speedfan for the +12v line.

I've disable the power saving options in bios as vista won't boot if I have them enabled.

Thanks,
z

As semi says use a meter. I gave up with progs ages ago as they all say something different & they are all wrong.

Of course, what I failed to mention was that I know nothing about multimeters.

There's tons of them on the bay. Should I go for anything in particular. All I know is I'd like a digital one!

I'm afraid I don't know too much about them, I'd just go by rough price and something in the £10ish range ought to be fine for what you need, it will still be significantly more accurate than most software readings.
