Bizarre DNS issue going to websites

My network (server 2008 infrastructure)

User have problems going to certain websites (bbc.co.uk, google.com etc) but fine on others. There are no dns errors on the servers and our domain host say there is no DNS problem on their end.

any idea what the hell is happening?

Could be a routing issue perhaps?

Try finding a bunch of sites that have trouble working and traceroute to them, see if there is a common node or provider that is having problems and notify your ISP.
