Ok, this is a really baffling one, so would appreciate any help you folks can supply.

I've noticed increasingly my network & internet connection keeps dropping and reestablishing - so I'll open a webpage and it'll say firefox is in offline mode then hit refresh and it'll load.

I'm trying to pin down if this is the motherboard's network adapter gone strange, the ethernet cable, the router or something else.

Something else that's only just occurred to me is occassionally the usb hub disconnects and reconnects - not sure if I'm joining dots that aren't there, but could it be related? (am thinking PSU?)

I've not changed anything at all in the last 6 months or so, and it's only recently started doing this - any ideas or ways to test this?

What PSU do you have powering what kit?

I would lean towards drivers as a starting point, namely chipset drivers. Go to the chipsets website and get the latest driver package. This will normally include USB and network drivers. After that I'd say try a different cable or buy a £10 PCI NIC. Maybe try a different port on the router as well.

Do the drivers and report back.
