Right my flat mate seems convinced that washing up liquid (eg fairy liquid) is toxic so makes sure *every* soap sud is removed before being dried. I think this is complete and utter crap, and she inadvertantly said she'd buy me a drink if i was right.

Now ive looked for proof of this but i can't find any. Any ideas how i could find out and claim my free pint?!

Cheers, Rob :p

Check here.

Most important line probably being:
Ingestion: Possible mild gastro-intestinal irritation with nausea and vomiting.

Chronic toxicity: Repeated exposure to low levels (e.g. residues left on
dinnerware) will not cause adverse effects

Read Section 11.

I just tried some and Lemon Fairy Liquid does not taste of Lemons, I was somewhat disappointed to be quite honest :(

it's bad to drink the stuff sure, because it breaks down oils (which your body has loads of)

but the bubbles would be a very weak concentrate in comparison

personally i only use the hot tap for washing up, then rinse the bubbles off with that, plates dry within about 30 seconds of being put to dry then :) -all steams off

If it was toxic or dangerous then it would have to display the toxic or harmful symbol on the back of the bottle

Show her the back of the bottle and enjoy your free pint :D
