My neighbour asked me today to price a 19" LCD Monitor, it has to be black to match the rest of his computer. He doesn't play that much games so i don't think it has to be a low response time or anything, he said he wouldn't mind a samsung one cos he likes my samsung 26" LCD TV.

I'm not sure which one to recommend to him as i have no experience with LCD monitors, just the TV i'm using now.

Any recommendations would be welcome.

Oh it has to be an analogue connection as his graphics card doesn't have DVI

theres this

Samsung SM-913N 19" LCD Monitor - Silver (MO-022-SA)
for £194inc

perosnally i would go for this
Viewsonic VE910 19" LCD Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-053-VS)
£202inc

or this (thats in this week only)

BenQ FP91G+ 19" LCD Monitor (MO-016-BQ)
for £182inc

delivery will come to about £15 i think

you will get all adapters in the box.

edit -not sure if they are black but i think they are :)

Also there is the Neovo F-419 19" LCD Monitor - Black/Grey (MO-016-NV)
£185ish
Like the BenQ it has both analogue and dvi inputs which could be of use if your neighbour upgrades sometime.

Edit: Just noticed the BenQ they show is silver :(

why do the inputs matter. i thought if its a dvi input it just goes to dvi but it comes with a dvi-vga output adapter anyway. on my dads it goes from tft screen to crt connection then crt connection to dvi on graphics card

What I was getting at is that if the guy gets a card with a dvi connector he could use the dvi input in the future, or maybe he decides to run 2 pcs and doesn't want to have 2 monitors there, I'm just pointing out that these monitors have something the others in that price bracket do not.
