Hey all,

I've just been talking to a friend who recently added a TV as a secondary monitor, and after an intense amount of fiddling he has now got it up and working... the only hitch is that it's in black and white.

The res is 1024x768 and on 32bit colour, tested with 16bit colour but there wasn't any difference... if anyone could help out, it'd be greatly appreciated.

For the record, he's using a Radeon 9250 graphics card.

It'll be regional settings and configuring the tv output - svideo right? - will fix it. Can't remember which but uk tv's are pal b or c, i think. If you can't find advanced settings in desktop properties then you need to install different drivers, such as ati's catalyst control centre.

Just got word back from him, apparently:

'I've tried like 2356 different PAL settings and it still fails, just different shades of grey'.

:(

He did state he was using the Catalyst drivers too, downloaded only earlier today.

Any more ideas?

Thanks

Does where my tv comes from have any impact on it, because it’s not exactly a top of the range product…

'It’s NAIKO and I couldn’t really find much on it on google when I was seeing if changing the signal thingy on catalyst to whatever region the company locates itself…'
