I have just noticed this happening the last few days, basically when i start a new YouTube video for the first 2 seconds or so i get black block artifacts appear on the video and then disappear, like this....

Doesn't happen all the time just to the point now where its bugging me, any ideas what the cause might be?

Disable it and see how it goes, it could be Chrome silently updated and has somehow messed up with decoding or the video decoder on your GPU is starting to play up. Alternatively, Windows 10 may have "updated" the GPU drivers to an older one without you knowing, which the W10 AU seems to do every now and then.

Hmmm, i have the latest drivers for my 1070, but im still getting the black artifacts on videos (never noticed it on animated Gifs however)
