Black display (360)

Ok,took the 360 off the monitor and back to the TV,with the resulting black screen.
Think display discovery is off,so i guess i need the key presses to re-enable that 1st,then maybe the presses to set 720 (have been through all the tuts online....and the y+rt one too,which i couldnt get to work!).
Help me spare my 360 from the 14lb lump hammer!

Does it still work when plugged into the monitor? Might be worth setting it to 720p there, then plug it back into the TV

I think in my infinite wisdom *aka rage* clicked off display discovery.
Driving me spare atm trying to sort the thing out.

....Actually i didn`t turn it off!

It`s connected to the monitor via a hdmi to dvi adapter,so only getting resolution options.

Wondered if i took the HD out (4gb 360 with a 120gb drive fitted),formatted it then set it up as if new that`d do it?

Did the reset,didnt work.....but upon turning it on once i got it come up via hdmi on the tv but with a corrupted screen whick flickered on and off,composite works fine tho.
Re-sonnecte4d it to the monitor and i also got some corruption untill i reset the resolution. Now,does this mean the hdmi section of the 360 is borked?
