Always been an AMD supporter, currently have a 939 3800+ clocked to 2.7 gig. Contemplating buying the 3.2 gig Black Edition AM2 chip and a suitable board.

Will there be MUCH performance difference?

I know I'll have to get new ram, 939 had it's day and served me well. Time for a change now me thinks.
 
Thanks for all your replies. I am still undecided as to what to do. I now have the 939 dual core running at 2.8 at 50 degrees, I am sure with a better cooler I can hit 3 gig. If that's possible I might just leave things alone on cpu/mobo/ram side and just invest in a better GPU. Now 2900 or 8800 anyone :)
