So any B.E.P fans here? (Suprised there isn't a thread already tbh).

I know that in this horrible country B.E.P (and similar styles of music) are mostly associated with chav tastes, but I've grown to love them because I hear their tracks so frequently in clubs/bars on my travels abroad, so to me they remind me of the good times! :D :cool:

Anyway, assuming I'm not the only one here who likes them, what are your favourite albums/tracks/PV's etc. :)
 
Yeah. I like about half there stuff. A lot of it is cheesey pop for the masses, but some of their stuff off of the last album was really good. Esepcially if you seek out the remixes. They are over using the autotune/synthesized sound though unfortunately.
 
Yeah I always thought they were a bit cheesy but The End is actually a pretty good album, not heard anything off the new one though.
 
This is possibly the worst music around right now. I thought they couldn't make anything worse than that song where they use Mazal Tov as a lyric....but then they released that pile of excrement they have out at the moment.


I mean REALLY? It sounds like they've sampled the crazy frog song at some points.

Not only do they slaughter another classic (I'll never forgive them for what they did to Misirlou) but it just has the most irritating sound I've ever heard come out of a radio.

Oh and then there was that flipping 'My Humps' song.

Seriously how can anyone actually like them?

Tell me the name of whichever band you are personally into and I'll quote you something considerably worse then "good luck/congratulations" as a lyric.

As for "The Time" you take the opposite perspective as myself - Personally I hated the original, and still don't particularly like the BEP version, but I thought they did at least make it vaguely listenable. :p Whereas you liked the original, so it's not really a suprise you consider the new version anything other than rape. ;)

And really, anyone who has anything against "My Humps" is aurally misguided to say the least. ;)

 
I find them almost a parody of themselves, i know that wont make sense but they are to me a comical group now.

Their "classic" songs used on TV and in a lot of advertising stuff are all very good and sell able.
 
The track (Rock That Body) is fine, In fact I daresay GOOD! And the PV is SUPPOSED to be silly/funny.

It demonstrates the groups good sense of humour / not taking themselves too seriously.
 
I was listening to that Rob Base track about half an hour ago :D

atpbx, I am disappoint.

I have only ever taken an interest in anything they have done when they released the Humps video.

Thats a big difference from move busting-toe tapping-knowing the words sing-a-long enjoyment. ;)

Ok I admit it, I have all their albums and I regularly dress as Will-I-am.
 
I don't like Rock that body.

I gotta feeling -- I wanted to just kill them at that point.
I quite liked Pump it and my humps.

Shut up and Let's Get It Started are my favourites. And Hey Mama is even ok :p

I prefer Outkast!

There's no shame, I like to dress up as Fergie....
 
Always loved them...been to a few of their concerts as i have a major crush on Fergie although shes married now:(...but still fancy the pants off her.

Their music is pretty good although some of it naff at times but my fave is boom boom pow....awesome track.
 
That latest song is pretty dire but to be fair they are just doing what is popular at the moment. Its grade A crap but as long as people buy it, more of it will be made.

Is it just me or does "the time" just make you feel like they have taken their old songs and "time of our lives" and made a ******* child. There are so many bits that you could just cut and paste into their other songs and they wouldn't be out of place. Even using the same lyrics in places.
