Black Friday Deals

I checked last high and several times today but seems to have missed all these!
It was 100% a mistake, they corrected it within a couple of minutes but not before at least half a dozen in my friend group had ordered either one or both of these... but some orders did get cancelled with no obvious pattern. Double lucky I guess!

I was thinking about getting an 18TB or 20TB hard drive but the prices are absolute rubbish, they were cheaper last month so I'll pass. Don't really need anything else and it's not a bargain if you don't need it.

Seen no offers yet on Intel i7-13700k or i9-13900k cpu's
May buy if i see a good offer on one of them and a decent motherboard

Ocuk have some offers on the older intel Alder Lake series cpu's

I got a Levis sherling trucker jacket for my daughter to replace a cheap one. I used her Student Beans to stack the discounts :)

Got 20% off a jacket at M & S earlier. Yes I'm old.
Thanks for the reminder. I too have become old but have found some interesting and good clothes there recently. I've avoided them for years and there still have a lot of dreary tat. But some of their stuff is actually quite good. I'm rebuilding my work business casual collection after 2.5 years of working from home (new job soon) and found their ultimate chinos actually really good and great value. Quite stretchy and comfortable too. I see those aren't on sale unfortunately.

Everyone keeps going on about Air fryers therefore I need to buy one to join the cool gang.
I was sceptical too until my daughter bought a small one for Uni. She loved it so much that we replaced hers with a decent one and have started using her old small one. So far we love it and it cooks quicker and presumably cheaper than firing up the whole electric oven.

I feel like an airfryer to a westerner is like a rice cooker to a SE/Far East Asian.

My dad bought me a rice cooker for uni, which is a norm for anyone with my background. I think an airfryer will be the same. It’s a mini oven that can do a whole meal.

The slow cooker was my go to thing for the weekly and leftovers device. I know the instant pot can do it and I do have an "All day breakfast all in on pot " recipe. I've yet to try it out.

I see your slow cooker and I will raise you a crock pot as a very worthwhile upgrade... having had a slow cooker for many years we needed a bigger one but went with a crock pot and it's even more awesome than a regular slow cooker for 2 reasons:
1. The inner bowl is made of light aluminium instead of porcelain/whatever a slow cooker's is -> much easier to lift when full and won't break if dropped
2. You can fry stuff right in the inner bowl!!! Game changing, no more need to dirty another pan to sear things first

I have an instant pot (pressure cooker) that can sauté too. Cost less than an airfryer, can tenderise tough meat in less than an hour.

It's a bit annoying because I need a few things for the house but I feel like I now have to wait to order because it'd be stupid to pay more
