Dont know whether I am missing something but if you buy the 16gb version for £239, a controller for £49 and a 32gb microsd card for £11.99 you are actually getting a better deal than your black friday deal give or take a couple of pounds ? Not really bothered about the 4g LTE bit.
 
You can't always save applications to SD cards though, So if you plan to have a lot on there application wise, you may need a 32GB, photos and files are fine for an SD card but even if you link the app to SD internal space is still taken up. And LTE always costs a bit more.
 
Dalvik Cache for you, gets bigger and bigger the more apps you have and run.
However, on 'L' they say they have fixed the SD issues, I can't be 100% certain on that.

EDIT: PLus L now runs on 'ART', however, this uses more space than dalvik, so we will see how this pans out.

I guess in terms of app space a temp fix would be either to repartition your device (Risky) or use link2sd which could help I suppose.
