45ms and below is considered to be "acceptable". So at 35ms your doing OK..

Just resumed playing as i went back to complete Horizon zero dawn and its got to be one of the best looking games i've ever played.

One thing that confused me though is on nvidia overlay it shows latency as between 65-70 but on msi after burner its showing around 19-25ms. Which tool is wrong i wonder?
Feels playable either way, getting around 40-60 fps on very high RT, Very high graphics preset and DLSS on 80.

7800x3d and 4070 ti super.

How difficult is this game? I keep hearing the word soulslike, which immediately makes me think impossibly difficult

I like a little bit of a challenge, but can't be doing with dying repeatedly and getting nowhere

ditto. stuck on a boss for 15-20 attempts aint for me!

It gets a lot easier as you go on and level up, unlock skills etc but there are one or two quite difficult bosses, mainly towards the end.

It's not as bad as Dark Souls or anything like that. I never completed Sekiro, but I completed this multiple times.

I would put it inbetween modern God of war on hard and Elden ring in terms of difficulty against bosses but like all of them. When you reach the half way point you are more than prepared for any of the bosses as it just turns into learning the pattern even more.

Yikes, sounds pretty damn difficult then

I found god of war difficult and elden ring utterly impossible!

You will be fine, just a bit of patience and honestly I would say the game is much closer to God of War than "soulslike"
