Black Myth: Wukong

I think this game would melt my graphic card.
You might be right :)

Its my most anticipated game of 2024. But I still wont pre-order. Better to wait and see how it reviews first.

What's the incentive to pre-order?
I'm a bit biased towards this game as I grew up watching the 1986 CCTV in cantonese and 1996-1998 TVB Journey to the west tv show, I did not watch the Monkey(Saiyuki) jap dub from the 78/80s like a fair amount of people in the UK did.
Journey to the west meant a lot to me growing up and this game is by far one of the best, or the most promising adaptation to date.
I'm sure a good chunk of the developers working on the game or at least the director was a big fan of the 1986 adaptation as they have re-made their own version of the opening theme song from the show.
Safe to say I just have high hopes and excited.

I would say its a combination of Ps2 action + Sekiro in how fast pace the combat is in comparison to soulsborne games + nioh switchable stance/combat style.
If anything this game has some similarities to what Shift-up went for with their gameplay with Stellar blade.

Cheaper price. It's the only reason I do it with games I want to play day 1. Zero risk. Reviews bad, changed your mind? Get a refund! With CDKeys anyway.

How does this work? Looking at their refund policy:
Key can't be redeemed to get refund
Refund needs requesting within 7 days of purchasing.

So just order close to launch/ wait reviews?
Asking as considering caving on this one £40.99 on there currently and it will only go up.

Anyway the game. My main fear is nothing ever lives up to Sekiro, so I'm pretending it's not similar. So hoping I just have fun with this.

Unless they changed the bit about 7 days. I always applied for a refund before key was released. I did it so many times with Age of Empires 4 and reordered it at their lowered price.

I can't see how they can deny a refund if the game has not even released yet, 7 days or not.

Main thing I found was if you want a refund do not click to view the key. As soon as you see the key game over, you can't get a refund. Which is obvious anyway.
