Pretty huge.

We’ve been listening to one of your top requests and are excited to announce that modding and mapping are coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PC!
We’ve still got a lot of work left to do, but here’s our current plan:
You will be able to create Maps & Game Modes and more!
We will include Unranked Dedicated Server Files with the tools so you can run servers with modded content anywhere you choose.
We will provide an Unranked Server Browser so you can easily find and join servers with modded content.
Closed Alpha target date: March 2016

Having fallen out of love with Battlefield 4 recently, this game is becoming increasingly appealing.

I feel like this is a way to get the community to make the mods and see what is the most popular then they will take it and start charging DLC money for it, maybe I'm being to cynical?
If you look at the estimated date for the closed alpha, it's pretty easy to see that they plan on getting out most of the paid DLC well beforehand. This would simply be a way to keep community interest on PC beyond that, something that Call of Duty's have struggled to do.

I think it's a fantastic idea and I see no reason to be cynical over it. Then again, people seem to find a way to be cynical about just about anything nowadays, so I'm not surprised this good news could be received negatively by some.

you cant blame people for being cynical when it comes to another COD game can you.
Yea, I can.

Blind cynicism is as bad as blind trust. Same thing, different sides of the coin. It is not healthy skepticism, it is just 'NEWS = must find way to interpret this badly' as if said game has nothing but irredeemable aspects and cannot be given an ounce of a benefit of the doubt.

It's a shame this seems to be such standard fare amongst gamers these days, making them largely unbearable to have constructive discussion with. Outrage culture has sadly taken over.

I also think it's a terribly lazy excuse. FREE DLC OFFERED ON NOVEMBER 20TH

"Oh well, I bet we have to sacrifice our newborn babies to play it."

"That's ridiculous, why would you think that?"

"Well you cant blame people for being cynical can you?"

"Good point, I'll prepare baby George right now."

Extreme example, but the point is that you cant just justify any cynicism or even skepticism without actual basis.
