Black Ops and new build issue!!!

Hi all.

just building my system, its running , not overclocked yet. but playing Black ops again.

System spec.

2500k running at 3.3ghz
Ausu p67 pro 'B' revision
Gtx 570
GeIL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
Coolmaster 850w psu
Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler
C300 ssd
samsung 1tb F3 Hdd

All looks like its running fine, temps all ok, not crashing etc.

When I loaded black ops onto the hdd, it asked to be connected to steam, did this, after several hrs of downloads I was ready to play.

Wow after playing on a 8800gts dual core what a difference.

What i have noticed though is this -

When i play on line the game loads up, on the loading bar at the bottom, it loads up, very quick, says its waiting for other players and then just sits there.
The game starts ( I hear the in game play on my headphones) but I still have the " waiting for other players screen " up for about 15 secs before I join.
No issues once im playing , just this start up.

This happened on every game and every server I went on for the last 2 day.

Broadband check said im at 6 mb download speed which is normal for me.

Any ideas.

Thanks for the replies.

My old system was slow to load up, but I would normaly start the game at
the same time as everyone else, new system I still have 'waiting for other player' message up , but they are actually playing.

Just to make it a bit more clear, the ssd only has the OS system on it not the game, thats on my hdd.

I seem to be the only one waiting for the game to start, the rest of the players are actually playing , I come into the game about 15 secs after the game starts, I never had this situation happen on my other system.

Only built the pc this week , so i hoped all the drivers would be up to date, will check.
HDD is new, formated then partitioned, then defrag.
all ok.
Windows system check gives me a score of 7.8 out of 7.9 at present.

What do you mean by 'optimize the game files' and what would i change, at work at present so cant look at minute.

operating system windows 7 64bit if that helps.

Had a look at 'optimize the game files' for blk ops , cant see what would help sorting this out, Total noob to this sort of thing.

why do you think that would effect my GTX570 soo bad, did not have an issue with myold slow 8800gts.

Quick update -

Changes the "shader warming to" off and hey my problems have gone away.
One of the first to load up and start .

Thank you to all that read this and added there opinions, i now have a happy face ;-)

Just a side note - wow a new speced Pc makes such a big difference, in the top 5 kill ratio in most of the games I've played .

yer my son plays BF2 on the xbox , looks a great game.
will get Bf3 for sure when it comes ouit, too late for me now to play catch up on bf2, would get my a_se kicked in that now.

Also like the look of Homeland, think i will get that and have a look.

Never got into Crysis, too much changing things on the fly.

Uploaded latest drivers for my 570, which came out today .
