As title really. Looking at a vastly better strap for walking around with my camera instead of the neck strap that comes with the canon 5D mkii which isn't great. The Q-strap is the cheapest but is it cheap due to having worse components? The sun sniper has a model with a steel line fitted through it to stop thieves cutting it, which is quite a nice idea, but Im not sure how good they really are.

Looking for user reviews of these products and how much weight you let them take?

I've got the Blackrapid RS-7.
It's a great strap, but to be honest, I don't use it all the time.

The two situations I think it's good for are:

- Anywhere that you might be spending all day walking around. If you are being quite touristy, it's nice to be able to let it hang at your side and just bring it up if you want to shoot something.

- If you are doing some kind of product/model/whatever shoot where you don't want to have to keep putting the camera down to adjust something or give directions.

The majority of the time I tend to just use a normal strap, albeit a different one to the Canon strap that came with the camera.

I had the Op-tech copy of the Black Rapid for a while and it infuriated me so much I ended up just getting a Black Rapid RS2 a few weeks later. The sling idea is all well and good but make sure it's got an underarm strap to stop the whole strap slipping round and the 2 clips which stop the camera swinging forward when you lean forward. These clips mean you can have the camera round your back and it won't slip forward. The RS2 is quite low profile so is much easier to fit in a camera bag than other versions, can take a lot of weight, is comfortable and comes with the BRAD strap as standard. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on a copy to begin with. You can find the RS2 for around £50 online if you look around. Well worth the extra few pound in my opinion.

I have the Q-strap. I don't actually seem to use it much, but it's great quality. I don't have any heavy lenses so the cheap price is what made me buy it over anything more expensive.

I use the black rapid RS-7. I haven't tried the others but I can safely say that the RS-7 is a great strap, very comfortable and a lot easier just to bring the camera up from my side to shoot. I got mine for free from a competition on youtube so can't really say if it is worth the money or not but I am not sure I would have paid £40 for it.

I've had a Q-Strap, the old style one before they put the curve in the shoulder strap, for a number of years now and I can't fault it at all. It is so much better than the standard strap I wish I'd got one as soon as I picked op my camera. Heaviest thing I've had on it is the 30D plus 100-400mm L and it never felt an issue as well as still being comfy.

Can't recomend them enough it's the single best thing I've purchased for my camera and has played a major part in improving my photography as I'm much happier to carry my camera around for extended periods and at 14.95 it's a steal! I may even get a new one!
