Hello folks,
Bit of an issue with my new PC...
Asus AN8SLi-D (nF4)
7900 GT
XP Pro SP2
Now, in most games (Guild Wars especially) when I exit from full screen mode, the desktop etc does not re-draw at all.
It's as if the process running for the full screen app is still running without anything being sent to it.
If I go from Full screen -> Windowed mode - No problems at all.
If I close the app whilst still in full screen, 90% of the time I am left with a black screen and mouse pointer.
The windows etc that are invisible are still active, the mouse cursor changes when going over text boxes etc.
Only resolution so far - Reboot PC.
On the way down, you see the desktop then "Logging Off".
So whatever was still running closes, you get to the desktop!
(Just the PC is already rebooting)
I have tried 2 different versions of both mobo and GFX card drivers.
Not tried reducing the clocks on the GFX card but it runs ATi Tool overnight with no artefacts.
Any ideas? Seen this before?
I don't have Ultra-Mon installed... It started doing it very shortly after it was built... And no changing drivers etc makes a diference...
Thanks.
