I went to bed one night and everything was fine with my PC but when I got up in the morning and started it up I got a no signal message on my monitor. The fans were spinning all lights on the motherboard and no cmos beeps giving errors.
I have tried every test I can think off and even took it out of the case and still no signal. I tried this on the Maximus VII I'm using and also my Asus Z97-A. I have tried it on both board's with nothing plugged in apart from the H100 pro cooler and psu (cpu obviously too) only. If the problem lay with the cpu shouldn't i Get a beep of some sort off at least one board? I spoke to a mate and he said you can get errors on a psu where it can provide a certain amount of power but not enough to power the system properly.
The PSU's (HX 750i) fans are spinning on full which is strange as I have it set to the default which is it will only spin when it reaches a certain temp. I've spoke to Corsair and they have just said send it in if there's no power at all which conflicts with what my mate said to me.
Surely if it's the cpu I would have some error? Could it be the PSU? AT one point I'm sure I felt a funny smell emitting from it yet it still runs. Totally lost with what to do and I don't want to have to shell out on another psu.
