Black screen/no signal

(sorry if iv posted in the wrong part)

Hello. I recently have an issue where if im playing a game on the pc randomly at any time the screen will go black and say no signal and ill have to restart the pc. Not sure what is causing this but iv done a factory reset and fresh windows install and nothing changes updated all drivers. I have a msi 970 gaming motherboard i7 processor 16gb ram and a gtx970 100million edition. I did want to try the bottom/lower pci slot but when I done that the screen won't even get signal to do anything. Thanks in advance.

What power supply do you have ?

Erm can't remember off the top of my head the make or model but I know it's 1000watt. Iv had this computer for just over 6 months and before now it's fine ran all games perfect. Its only recently it's started doing this.
