Hey, all of a sudden had been getting regular bsod. Before I could figure out the cause I had to make another reboot and now it does not boot. Nothing, doesn't post just blackscreen:eek:

Opened it up and everything looks ok, connections, lights, fans spinning etc.

I'm kinda stumped what to do, its an asus mboard, I read something online there may be way to connect screen direct to it, ie bypass graphics card in case that's the cause but not sure:(

Ok posting from my pc this time ! plugged into second hdmi output and it booted and bsod trying to get into windows proper, but can get in safe mode with networking.

But the screen has lines all the way through it, i think the card is knackered. Will try and post pic. PC spec below, is an overclockers pre-overclocked bundle jobbie

Well I would be tempted to rest the CPU back to stock speed and see if that helps.

The overclock profile will bee saved in the CMOS so as long as you don't delete this or flash the BIOS you wont lose it and can reapply it after.

But artifacts on the screen do point to a GFX card problem.

Unplug the power to the card, unscrew it and pull it out of the case then directly connect a monitor to the motherboard IO.

Yeah i actually clocked both the processor and graphics card back to stock levels a while ago as it was never stable out of the box...will try and plug directly into motherboard

ok phone pic below, this is in safe mode btw and had installed newest graphics drivers couple of days ago when bsod started happening regularly

Ok so after taking out the card & running with just the onboard graphics over the weekend without issue i'm 100% the card is kaput.

In the meantime i'm living with onboard, looking at the spec for my motherboard it should be able to run screen resolution of 1920 x 1200, which is perfect for my monitor. But i seem to be stuck at max of 1280 x 1024 via the desktop screen resolution selector?

Check for windows updates, likey missing the driver for onboard. Or grab it from the asus website: http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z68V/#download
