My case hasnt arrived yet so i transformed the mobo box into a temp case ;), i left the graphics card out because i wanted to see if my 3570k was working fine.

After wiring it up i installed windows and drivers etc. and spent a few minutes constantly restarting windows just to show people how fast the ssd was :D

I then went to install the graphics card, its a vtx3d 7850, and then i get a black screen on boot, i havent installed a buzzer/speaker so i cant hear the post.

I know the card works as i put it into another pc and it works fine, normally i would just put in the graphics card and windows would do the rest for me so i am bit confused

Specs of new pc:
3570k
msi z77a g45
8gb crucial ballistix sport
120gb sandisk extreme ssd
noctua nh d14
coolermaster gx 650w

specs of pc used to test:
phenom x6 1090t
asus M5A78L-M
seagate barracuda 500GB
4GB samsung ram
corsair tx 650
stock cooler

sounds like you gotta change the graphics setting in the bios,if you booted up with the onboard gfx ok you will need to change to pci or something similiar

I have done the following so far:
updated bios and mobo drivers
disabled integrated graphics in windows device manager
set bios to PCIE Graphics
put in my 7850
turned
and black screen

I also used my 5450 and it works perfectly so its either a motherboard compatibility issue or a PSU issue. Gonna try and replicate the black screen on another computer and hopefully that should tell me what the problem is

Been exchanging messages with MSI support and they sent some beta bios versions of which the latest one solved the issue.

Gotta love christmas day technical support :D
