Going by forums I'm not alone with this issue: video card basically turns off leaving you with a black screen while the computer continues active (sound is still there and you can eventually restart by pushing the reset key).
It's not caused by high gpu use per-se. It doesn't happen in demanding parts of the game and temps are fine? (touching 70 maximum) but seems to be triggered by the graphic card changing power states after having been stressed i.e. when you go from the game to a menu or a video cutscene.
The computer is brand new (from ocuk) and I can leave it running valley benchmark with no problems despite slightly higher temps.
Advice from the 'helpful' posters at nvidia forums is that I have a duff video card since some are fine and I should either RMA or underclock my card with a third party tool. Other suggestion is that it could be psu... I do only have superflower 550w but I assumed that was plenty for a 4590 cpu, 2xhd and one graphic card.
What do you guys think?
n.b. I'm not on the very latest nvidia driver since apparently that makes things even worse.
