Hi guys I wonder if you could help me, this has just started happening in the last hour, I'm getting a black screen which you get when your closing down,it only lasts a couple of seconds and a small blue screen in the middle of the black screen which again is just like when your closing down.its starting to happen once every 10 min. to me it suggest a loose cable maybe going into the monitor ? anything else I should be checking.any help would be appreciated
 
Sounds similar to the memory problems of some initial R9 290/290X cards on launch.
 
just waiting for it to happen again,had the computer for about a year.does not seem to be a serious problem.either its stopped getting a black screen or the gaps are getting longer.does it happen to video cards
 
just happened again first time in 20 min small blue screen read dell proceccer,dell is my monitor which is over six years old

Hardware monitor and GPU-z ideal for checking system/cpu/gpu+gpu vrm temps.
 
thanks for your reply I have not been updating,has not happened for a while now but it did happen twice when I re booted.am leaning towards monitor
