Hi all,

I've just bought a bunch of bits from OC and I'm having an issue when installing windows.

Everything is going fine until it says "setting up your apps" then the screen goes black, the monitor checks digital then analogue then switches off.

I've tried reinstalling without the network cable plugged in and I get into windows fine. As soon as I start installing the catalyst drivers I get the same issue with the monitor going blank checks digital then analogue then switches off (standby)

Any ideas?

This is what I've bought

try running DDU (display driver uninstaller - google it) to delete any graphics driver - e.g. the Intel HD drivers windows might have installed and also any AMD drivers windows installed. Then reboot and try again - I get this on my Fury X system.

Hmm I've just plugged in the missus's monitor and it works. Her monitor can do 1080p whereas mine can't and is an older samsung. Could this be the issue?

lowered the resolution via the other monitor and disabled the intel device and its now working :)

thanks for your help MDPlatts you set me on the right path!
