black screens with amd drivers on game launch

just did a clean install on a new win 10 build msi gaming pro carbon with power color RX580 and 16Gb team pro @ 3200. so if I run with the latest amd drivers on launching games (subnautica,guild wars 2) I get sound but black screen also get the same with the beta drivers, but if I go into device manager and update the display drivers which they do update then everything works but I get an error message saying wattman had to reset to defaults because of a crash, but this should be running defaults.
So any help with this ?

okay update been running on the latest stable drivers for a week now and everything is fine till I take the radeon recommendation and switch enhanced sync on then the issues come back, so anyone help on this as I'm back to running with it switched off ?

there as been problem with a last few drivers. AMD reported that you should run older drivers untill the problem is fixed but this was a month or two ago so the problem is fixed.
if your system works fine with enhanced sync OFF then keep it off.

personally i would reset the driver package and just change setting in game as needed.
