Hi all,

Currently having my case internals powdercoated a matt black but now I'm left with the problem as to where I can get hold of some black screws. The case is a Silverstone TJ07 and I've included the images of all the screws I need. 5 different types in total.

Help anyone?

Thanks,

an old motorbike trick i used on my speed triple is to heat the bolts up till they are very hot then put straight into oil.

bingo, instant black screws

at least it works with bolts, so don't see why it wouldn't work.

Sounds like a crazy idea, might give it a try.

What oil though?

Dirty engine oil i expect. You can buy black Anodised Thumb screws and the fan screws. The top ones my Silverstone PSU came with black ones so im sure you could get some of them. What are the two bottom ones for?

Hi Bradley,

The 4th pic of screws is for the rom cage, mb tray runner.

The 5th pic of screws are for the mesh at the top of the case that house the dual 120mm fans.

I've managed to find some thumbscrews in black but they are for the Lian LI TS-0SB.

Would they still be ok for my case?

I've found some black fan screws also.

Not sure what I'd do about the others. Just find it amazing that they aren’t easy to get hold of. Emailed Silverstone Tech to see if they would have any and they don't, which I think is ridiculous.

i guess just give it a little rub with some wet and dry and then clean off with meths or something then screw it or say poke it in a orange or something to hold it while u spray it.

Mine hasn't come off yet. So maybe I'm very delicute or the paint is very good :p

I used Plastikote Mattblack 2 in 1.

Cheers Al.

Going to pick some up tonight and see how it goes. I'll post updates on my build log.

Thanks,

RoEy
