I recently moved my media PC over from Vista x64 to XP x64 and so far am not regretting it. The only slightly annoying problem i do have (and i've spent a wee while Googling the hell out of it) is that my video thumbnails (avi, etc) only show the first frame of the video - most of which are black.
Some work perfectly as the first frame isn't a black one, but 90% of them have black first frame's and so make the thumbnails completely pointless. I know this issue was fixed in Vista, really just wanted to know if anyone had found workarounds etc for it. I'm using ffdshow64, and was hoping that some i could tell it to process stuff a few frames (or a second or so) in?
Oh, and moving back to Vista isn't an option.
Thanks for any help...
