On my last bike i just used a bit of hammerite to touch up, wasnt perfect but made it a lot less noticable,
on my friend's bike they were quite bad so we used plastidip and sprayed them mat black, they came out really well and lasted ages, he just had to be careful where he was using his chain cleaner.
