i know people find these handy but you're basically paying for the worse lowest end AA's in MS wrapping. You're much better off getting a few sets of quality rechargeables and charger. And always having a set/s on stand by. Its cheaper and they last far longer.

i disagree i tried the rechargable battery route first because i had the same view as you but I noticed the rechargables die so quickly and take longer to charge then a MS battery in the charger also with the ms battery you can use the play and charge cable.

You must have had a bad experience. The AA's that MS put in their packs are low end AA's. And wont last as long as high end rechargeable. If you crack open one of those packs then you'll find low MAH cheap AA batteries.

I just checked mine it has two 2100 Sanyo eneloop but it performs better then the uniross and energizer ones I tried.

Are you on about using the hybrid ones then I heard they are very good

MS must have upped their game recently then as Eneloop are among the best rechargeable batteries on the market. They used to have no-name rubbish ones that died after only a few dozen charge cycles.

Maybe it might be good idea if a load of people that have them check to see what they have to try and figure out if it was a batch thing or ms has switched to good quality ones.

which batteries are you using now then zensuji?

Some 2650 Duracells. They last me ages so I'm not after longer but when they're done I'll grab some eneloop.

The problem I'd have with buying the packs again is you just never know batch to batch what you're buying. I guess MS could/will switch at any time.

Sorry for nay saying on your pack...just didnt expect MS to upgrade something like that. I guess they are aware of the perception of their packs....once that changes I'm sure they'll resort back :D
