Is the game worth playing? ive heard its a good blastfest?, i have an old x box at work, and play a few games on it from time to time.

Well of course it been betterd by the next gen, im just asking if its wirth picking up on the x box?

Do you have a next gen console? if yes then no its not worth picking up. If you only have Xbox then make sure you've played all the good shooters (especially Chronicles of Riddick) Oh and its painfully short as well.

yup i have Ps3 and 360, but at work a ps2 and an x box, ive played Riddick very good, i dont mind short games, if there cheap.anyway my attention span isnt very good these days, so short is ok,

I absolutely loved Black. I actually though it made a break through in terms of FPS on consoles. Give it a try!

Well, put simply, all the other FPS on consoles just didn't feel right. This was the first FPS on a console that I actually sat down, played, completed and enjoyed throughly. I don't agree with some of the statements above. I also thought the graphics were some of the best of last gen and are still quite good. There are also reasons to play through the game again as there is stuff to unlock etc. All in all, it is a very good game.

ok cheers, :)

I had it for the PS2, thought it was brilliant personally. IF you can get it for a tenner then go for it!

I thought Black was great fun, and looked fantastic compared to other Xbox FPS's at the time.

It also supported custom soundtracks which was a rare treat for games in the genre.

The only downsides I can remember were the really long cutscenes you couldn't skip, and the fact many of the levels were so long. A casual gamer like myself would find it difficult to complete a full level in the spare time I had for gaming, then my next session would be spent re-playing that same level from scratch again - needless to say, I never completed the game...

And finally, remember - you can never have too many explosions! :D

BTW how is it I struggle to find time for gaming in my own home, whereas you get to play at work?

...Any vacancies at your workplace? ;)

Black is an awesome game, bought it to play on my 360 during the first summer drought the 360 ever had ( was waiting on Gears etc ) and it was high octane action from start to finish with excellent gunplay.

Would love a nextgen sequel.

Wasnt Black being made for PC and xbox360 as well .. i remember seeing a developers diary thing and they were talking about Black on 360 and the enhanced features it would have over its previous gen versions..

But it never seemed to emerge. I actually liked it on the PS2 .. and certainly would have bought it if i had owned one.
