Blackberry 9900/9930

Myshra any idea why though?

When it's delayed this long it's either due to packaging the product&stocking it (as in, can't get em) or technical defect in the batch/testing. I honestly don't know which but it's likely one of these two. The CSRs might have more info but I'm doubting it, this launch has been extremely... odd. The page those dates were on was updated yesterday with just that info.

I want the 9980, shame it's for Porsche owners only :(

Can't be waiting for Orange any longer - any recommendations for a SIM Free supplier?

Plenty around, have a google for sim free unlocked 9900 and you will see quite a few but expansys, clove, handtec amongst others do sim free handsets but your looking at around £500 at least.

LOL fugly as hell...dont care if its for porsche owners or whatever but that fugly as ****

Has anyone on O2 got Blackberry Protect working? I get "device unsupported" which is odd.

As a matter of fact has anyone?

Cheers

Yep all working here on Tmobile...you sure you have it set up right??..might need to speak to O2 to see why its not working...wouldnt surprise me if they blocked it lol.

On the 9900 you know the top button for standby/lock, when you shake the phone you can hear it move and is it hard sometimes to press (you gotta press on left side of the button to standby).

Just wondering if anyone has this, im not gunna return the phone because it works fine.

Nope mine is fine, no shaking whatsoever and is pretty easy to push...in fact i find it too easy to push.

There are some build quality issues surrounding the 9900, a shame really as RIM need to sort out their build quality especially on such a high end expensive model.

Im not finding mine hard to push its the fact i have to click it on the left side and when you shake the phone you can like hear it shaking but it works fine.

Edit: I dont have to click it on the left side (lol) i click it in the middle, its just the shaking of the button feels bit dodgy if you get what i mean.

Ahh ok i got ya...well as long as its working fine then wouldnt bother exchanging it, as i said mine pretty solid so far...i just have a slightly tilted to the left trackpad but works fine...in fact my 9780 had the same issue and it never gave me any trouble.

I have an unlocked CPW handset with an O2 Pay Monthly Simplicity SIM inside and my Blackberry Protect works fine.

Is yours locked to O2? Maybe give them a call?
In the end it turned out to be a weird problem. The original software had a download "link" as an icon in the menu, which I clicked and followed to the BB website which said my device wasn't compatible. I then decided to plug it in and use the Application Loader to load it on and it worked.
