Blackberry curve on orange constantly receiving something...?

As title really. Had my BB curve for around a month now and for the last 6 hours its had the receiving icon on yet I've not actually got anything through apart from texts and FB alerts etc. Its on all the time though and if it is actually receiving something, I really dont want to blow my monthly allowance for my internet or I'd face a hefty bill...

Anyone encountered this before?

sorted it, appears it was the facebook BB application just downloading photos to my phone for no reason :S

It would have been matching up your phonebook contacts with Facebook contacts and adding information to their profile.

Well depends on how many contacts you that are on FB...plus its not done over 3G as the Curve is GPRS so quite a bit slower....so not really surprised that it took 6 hrs or so.
