Blackberry Help

Got to setup one of these, i think its a 8700.

There seems to be no mail setup options on the phone itself and the pc software just seems to connect to outlook and resend, we don't have a BES but there must be someway to get email using imap?

Any help would be greatly appriciated

ps. we normally use Xda's with MS push email, if this could support that it would be brilliant, but just imap would be helpfull

edit, is there somekind of webclient setup?

I think most people don't realise that the Blackberry is not designed to work as either a pull e-mail or sync with e-mail system.
The Blackberry is designed as a "push" system - e-mail arrives in your inbox and is pushed out to the handset.
Sure, you can delete mail on the handset and that same message will eventually get deleted from your inbox.
However that is far from instant.

We use a BES server which talks to our Exchange server - we're serving around 25 Blackberry users at the moment.

If you're looking for full e-mail capabilities and sync with mailboxes etc then I really don't think that the Blackberry is the solution you were looking for.
