Just got a replacement blackberry 8900 from orange,

installed all latest updates and text message/sms are now all say from the same person, all in one massive message ? is this how the new update does it ?

I prefered seeing that eg: sarah has sent 30 texts on saturday and i can scroll on the main sms screen to each one.

Now it seems to collate them all any way i can sort this ?
 
Yeah - thats how it is done on OS5 assuming that's what you have upgraded it to. Not sure if there is an option to switch back or not....personally I prefer it like this, don't see why you wouldn't.
 
damn thing keeps freezing. or bringing up a menu and then wont do anything Or menu key wont work, or whatever key i press just Y comes up on screen, just rang orange, replacement tonight 6-10 not ruddy happy! and thats with the latest os v5.0.0.682 (platform 5.2.0.67)

Spawn if you come here, when I get the replacement from Orange tonight what OS should I put on it or just the one it comes with ?

and if some OS are unstable can you please LINK me to where the working OS (for orange) is please.

You can use any OS (just remove vendor.xml). Head over to Crackberry forums and go in the BB8900 Section, the top sticky is the latest firmware. It's very easy to install, just follow their guide.
 
As Decmatt just posted go over to crackberry and install any of the official OS's...dont know why your having so much trouble with it...probably something to do with the fact that Orange have branded it with their software...unfortunately de-branding them isnt as easy as other phones are.

Stick with the OS it comes with and see if it causes you any hassle...if it does then try putting on a newer OS etc.
