Blackberry or Windows Mobile?

I've been using WM devices for about 6 years and devices of old were laggy and buggy and a PITA sometimes.

I use WNM devices because I only want to use one device for everything - comms satnav mapping etc. Buzzword: convergence

The HTC HD2 has finally hit the convergence sweet spot. 1ghz snapdragon, plenty of RAM, large ROM and up to 32GB micro SD

I'm currently running mine with:

Auto Call Recorder - Records both sides of calls automatically.
NewsBreak - RSS type newsfeeds & updates.
Resco Audio Recorder - Dictaphone - handy in my line of work.
Call Firewall - Blocks unwanted calls and SMS messages.
TomTom 8.40 - Full satnav with POIs and latest PGPSW speed cameras.
Memory Map - Full 1:50k and 1:25k OS Mapping with GPS
Google Maps - Satellite View with GPS
CorePlayer - plays loads of media types.
Opera 9.70 - pinch to zoom superfast browser.

The HD2 does music (3.5mm jack) stores and displays hires images, tracks stocks and shares, syncs with outlook, integrates with facebook and twitter (if you're into that sort of thing)
and it has an FM radio, wireless B G & N and a wireless router built in and a crisp, sharp 800x 400 touch screen. Oh, and it's a phone with 1 click fast dialling.

What does the blackberry do :D

As above the actually phone features in WM are a bit rubbish - tho there are different front ends you can use some better than others.

But the ability to load it up with apps/settings for your personal tastes and viability as a personal music/entertainment platform gives it a big edge IMO.

Not much can (currently) beat a decent WM smartphone for mobile internet useage IMO - specially on phones with qwerty + 800x res touchscreens.

Touchflo was rammel, Sense 2.5 UI is actually usable.

After years of using stylii I was quite quick with text input and was a bit worried that my fat fingers wouldn't be able to use the capacitive screen but I've learned fast and I'm almost up to speed.

The HD2 800x400 screen is the first device since the iPaq 5450 which has really usable web access and Opera 9.7 makes it a cinch to use. It's the 1 GHz snapdragon and the ram wot does it.

Plus, it's possible to dual boot WM 6.5 with Android for access to the android market.

The Crackberry is ok for some things but can;t hold a candle to the HD2

The xperia was out before the HD2 and has just as good if not better web-browsing capabilities (thanks to resistive touchscreen you can make better use of the resolution) unfortunatly a few minor issues with the xperia ruined what would otherwise have been the perfect phone.

I almost bought one, then I held out for the TG01, then the HD2 came available and I was offered one for £100

No brainer. Best WM device to date.

If it had a qwerty keyboard and resisitive touchscreen I'd be all over it - as it is guess my Xperia will have to do for now.

I tried touchflo on my blue angel, but cos my blue angle was released in 2003 - 2004, it runs slow every so often.Touchflo is a great bit of software that goes over the top of the OS(windows mobile) to make it completely diff and its finger friendly too

These are 2 video reviews of touchflo
