Blackburn - Cheating? **SPOILERS**

That goal should be disallowed... using video footage... it was obveouse cheating!!!!

Tell you what then - on a Monday morning the FA can all get together and watch all the matches again and dissect the footage and then make the score up at the end of the day.

Or perhaps we should let them get on with it and hope one day there is a better system for refereeing.

Yes it was cheating, but then it happens, and he obviously did it well enough to make it so 50,000 plus people didn't notice it, swings and roundabouts, sometimes the luck goes with you and sometimes it goes against you, the way of the world.

Indeed, Newcastle are amongst the biggest cheats in the league (better now with no Bellamy) so Swings-&-Roundabouts is about perfect.

I hope your not another whinging gooner, still holding a grudge after 9 years :p

Well these sort of things happen in games everynow and then (from those dereft of sportsmanship anyway), it's just that the lost points cost us a place in the Champions League in the end, which makes it more memorable. That and Forest lying down on the last day of the season to let in 5 as they were already down.... :(

Yeah and Blackburn were struggling against the pull of relegation, and couldn't afford to give away premiership football in the name of sportsmanship (and don't forget it wasn't cheating, your player [viera?] played the ball to touch). And maybe if your defender hadn't been half asleep he would have been able to play the ball that was thrown towards him, rather than giving away a corner.

Besides which we deserved a point from the way we played 2nd half, and due to the fact that the Arse couldn't wrap it up with another goal after totally dominating the 1st 45.

Decent side replay games where that sort of thing happens :p ;) And it's VIEIRA

Lets be honest things like this happen, 1986 World Cup or the 2001 FA Cup final for example. Nothing we say will change it.

Well to be fair you should have had an extra 2pts that year anyway because Boro never showed up to a match, which was later replayed and ended in a draw IIRC (?). Of course Boro got 3pts deducted (net result -2), but Blackburn only got 1pt for a game they should have been awarded all 3.

As for Vieira kicking the ball out, of course he did, one of our players had been hacked down and was genuinely hurt (he was subbed).

Good point, had forgotten about that

I realise that, but there is nothing in the rules to say that we have to give them the ball back, what I was inferring is that we weren't cheating as accused ;)

Rubbish. We're hardly the biggest cheats in the league. The only genuine gripe would be Shearer's tactics. But EVERY ref is aware of exactly what he does and they rarely pull him, so I see that as more pushing the rules to the limit.

We are terrible at the moment though. In the words of Bill Hicks, "Show some ****ing heart!!" :(
