I could have spent the money on "better" things for more performance but I wanted something special.
Unique.
My own.


My fearless X2 550 has served me brilliantly but its time for an upgrade :)

The theme is backer and bluer than ever :D

800D fan at the back will be an intake and I might put the fans on the double to push as well to get a lil more air intake from the bottom of the case.
 
The blue text is black acrylic cut out and lined with paper to even the glow. Behind it is a cathode :)

Took a few attempts to get something decent but it was well worth it.

Just to add if you're going to try this then get your hands on the sharpest blade you can :) It makes life a lot easier ^^

Thanks :) he keeps the components in line....sometimes the ram gets a little bitchy.

As for the text, give it a go :) a roll of acrylic and a sharp blade and you're limitless in your decals :D
 
Right most of the stuff came

A few annoyances:

There's some TIM on the CPU so it's been used before (should I be worried?) and there's no I/O shield with the mobo which was kinda lame but givens it's "B-Grade"

Anyways I've contacted overclockers asking for a shield (I also asked to return under DSR when I was ****ed at the cpu but I'll probably just keep it)

The rest of the stuff looks great and the ram.....oh the ram....it's so so good looking :D

I've also ordered some right angle fittings for the rad double rad and a temp sensor for the water :)
 
Yea, decided I'm not happy and have asked for a refund under the DSR.

Will look into a Sandy build now....my credit card is going to hate me :D
 
Sandy ordered....more money than I would have liked to have spent but hey....c'est la vie.

Just need to get the 1366 stuff returned so my bill isn't insane :D

It should arrive tomorrow so all being well the build is still a go for Saturday :)
 
Mine's stuck in a warehouse queue :(

If it doesn't get sent today then I won't get it until next week which means I'll not get to build it until next Saturday :/

Normally I get a dispatch notification within a couple of hours.....guess you're right and they're behind.
