Sorry if dumb question, but how do Nvidia price across territories? EG, lots of the above estimates are in USD, do they get a one for one translation (obvs going by past generations) eg usd1k = gbp1k, or is there at least a go at conversion, ie usd1k = roughly gbpwhatever the conversion rate gives you?

Europe always gets stiffed the worst, they're always bloody moaning about it :D

The 4090 founders was £1,679 in UK and €1,949 in EU on release. But it's a floating MSRP, and it dropped soon after release, then went up and down a few times at irregular intervals. I think it changes according to currency fluctuation.

This makes it hard to predict what a $2,000 US MSRP will look like in the UK. But at least you know it won't be good :D

They don't really go off territories, they just think we'll shaft EVERYONE no matter where they live! :D

5090 32GB: $1799
5080 16GB: $899
5070Ti 16GB: $699
5070 12GB: $549

My educated wish :p
Educated wish or wishful thinking?

I'll be honest day one if the 5080 is 900 but I see it being 1200.

I'd like to think Nvidia will learn from the 4080 and it's poor sales and release the 5080 at a lower entry price. But I think the more realistic attitude from Nvidia is that it's customers "should learn to accept higher prices"

Did you buy a card in the end as you were looking to upgrade a few months/year ago?
