I like this price, it would mean the 4090's second hand value stays real high. Like you tell me Nvidia is gonna charge $1400 for a slower GPU and less memory than my 4090? Sounds good to me

The 4090 founders was £1,679 in UK and €1,949 in EU on release. But it's a floating MSRP, and it dropped soon after release, then went up and down a few times at irregular intervals. I think it changes according to currency fluctuation.

This makes it hard to predict what a $2,000 US MSRP will look like in the UK. But at least you know it won't be good

At the end of the day names and tiers change. All I care about is whether price for performance improves over this gen or not.

They don't really go off territories, they just think we'll shaft EVERYONE no matter where they live!

These will almost certainly be close to the street prices. Again, on the day of the launch (CES 25), I caution people to remember announced MSRP is just marketing -- you'll be paying notably out the door.

I'll be honest day one if the 5080 is 900 but I see it being 1200.

I'd like to think Nvidia will learn from the 4080 and it's poor sales and release the 5080 at a lower entry price. But I think the more realistic attitude from Nvidia is that it's customers "should learn to accept higher prices"
